Roar è il primo singolo ufficiale del nuovo album di Katy Perry, intitolato Prism.
La canzone è stata appena lanciata mondialmente e ha raggiunto la vetta di più 40 paesi in pochissimo tempo.
Nonostante tutti i presupposti facessero pensare ad un netto cambio di direzione musicale, Katy ha riproposto il solito mix di pop orecchiabile e ritornelli targati da Max Martin e Dr. Luke. Il brano risulta quindi in linea con i singoli di Teenage Dream.
